Anja Willmann, born in 1979 in Malchin/Mecklenburg, studied architecture in Germany, Liechtenstein and Great Britain and graduated 2006 with an Master of Science in Energy Efficient and Sustainable Building with Distinction at Oxford Brookes University.
To establish her interest in sustainable architecture and building technologies, Anja joined Behnisch Architekten from 2007-2011, working on projects like the “Marco Polo Tower” in Hamburg’s HafenCity or the “Schlaues Haus” in Oldenburg as a project leader. Within this scope, Anja became an expert member of the technical committee of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB). She is also a registered member of the Chamber of Architects in Baden-Württemberg, Germany and DGNB-Auditor.
Working with Professor Arno Schlüter and the SuAT team, Anja's focus lies on sustainability on an urban scale and the question 'how can we evolve from sustainable buildings to future-proof cities?'
